Your goals
“An extraordinary life is living life on your own terms.” – Tony Robbins
What would be a fulfilling life look like for you? It probably wouldn’t be the same as a fulfilling life for someone else. And here’s the thing: you don’t have to live someone else’s life, or live by anyone else’s standards. Life coaching isn’t going to mould you into some blueprint of a life. Life coaching, put simply, is going to help you live your own life – the life you’ve always wanted to have – more fully.
It sounds so simple, and sometimes we do have those lightbulb moments when our path becomes clear. And then obstacles get in our way, and we don’t quite get where we want to.
This is where a good life coach comes in – someone who will be on your side, and help you make progress on your journey, shining a light on the things that get in the way, and helping you to find your own way over them.
The right coach can help you find the clarity to determine what you really want your life to look like; enable you to break down the journey into manageable steps; and encourage you as you take the first steps to make that happen.
The right coach will inspire you when your energy is low, and energise you when you need to get moving, helping you to open up into the person you were always meant to be.
Life coaching is not simply a matter of helping you to become successful in what you do. We are successful when we achieve our aims – whatever they may be. But if our success doesn’t bring us fulfilment, then it’s not really success. The journey I would like to accompany you on is to understand what will bring you fulfilment – and to help you find it and enable you to get there.
The aim is to help you to be your best self: to live a fulfilled life, true to your values.
There are issue that life coaching can’t deal with: I can’t treat you for real-life trauma, psychiatric conditions, or addictions. To deal with the impact of these on your life, you will need to seek the specialist help of the appropriate specialist in that field.
Life coaching is not psychotherapy or counselling, which deal with the effect of our past experiences on our life, and how they impact on the present. (Therapists, excuse the over simplification!)
Life coaching deals with where you are now, and helps you get to where you want to be in the future.
